At least 26 Palestinians killed Monday by the Israeli army, over 105 dead in 24 hours

After the 82 people killed on Sunday in the Gaza Strip, at least 26 more Palestinians were killed by Israeli army attacks, as the army bombed different areas of the enclave since dawn this Monday morning, according to hospital sources cited by Al Jazeera.

Incessant strikes, whose intensity has doubled in recent days despite the resumption of negotiations in Doha and Washington for a new ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.

The Gaza Ministry of Health thus announced early Monday afternoon that at least 105 people have been killed and 356 others have been injured by Israeli attacks carried out in the last 24 hours across the Palestinian enclave.

Al-Shifa Hospital reported that six people, including a child, died and fifteen others were injured in an attack on a clinic in the Rimal district of Gaza City, where 37 people had died the previous day.

Another strike on an apartment in the Tel al-Hawa district, also in Gaza City, left one dead and several injured, according to the same establishment, while other bombings caused several casualties in Beit Lahiya, in the north of the enclave, in the Bureij refugee camp, and in Rafah, in the south.

Three of them also died from Israeli soldiers' bullets during an aid distribution near Rafah, in the south of the enclave, which also left about forty injured, according to Gaza's emergency services.

According to the ministry's statement, at least 57,523 Palestinians have been killed and 136,617 others have been injured since the start of the Israeli offensive against the besieged territory, not counting the more than 10,000 missing under the rubble.

Recently, several independent scientific studies have estimated that the true death toll of Palestinians in the enclave could have reached 100,000.
