Gaza: Aid Blocked, Hospitals Under Pressure, and International Silence

Over the past 48 hours, the crisis in Gaza has worsened: humanitarian aid points have been closed again, new strikes have hit already weakened areas, and access to essential services remains dramatically reduced.

Humanitarian Aid Cut Off: An Implosive Lock

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army has again stopped the delivery of aid to the entire Gaza Strip, despite the theoretical ceasefire in effect. Tens of thousands of civilians are still waiting at the entrance to distribution camps, while convoys are detained at the border or turned back. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warns that this suspension of deliveries comes even as a famine has already been officially declared in some regions.

Hospitals Still on the Brink of Collapse

Gaza's already crippled healthcare system has been hit again: according to the same source, several hospitals in Gaza City are announcing that they can no longer admit new patients due to lack of equipment or electricity. Doctors describe scenes of "constant triage" as severely malnourished children pour in. The Red Cross/Red Crescent emphasizes that nearly half a million Palestinians are now in a "state of acute hunger" and that the promised aid "is not enough" to stem the catastrophe.

Silence and Diplomatic Inertia

Despite these serious signals, the international community remains largely silent. The UN Security Council has not adopted any significant new resolution in several weeks, according to Reuters. Several Arab countries have issued communiqués, but without announcing concrete measures or effective pressure on Israel. This lack of reaction is felt as a new betrayal for the Palestinian population.
